When did you open?

Colonial Theatre held its first shows in April of 1912. After shuttering it 2022, its operating structure was transferred to a nonprofit the following fall.

Who is running this?

The theatre is now owned by the Hawthorne Theatre & Arts Collaborative. Its executive director is the Colonial's longtime staffer, Kyle Walton.

When do you reopen?

The theatre's first evening shows start on Friday, November 17.

When is your Open House?

The is a re(opening) extravaganza occuring on Saturday, November 18 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Will there still be Free Family Matinees this winter?

Yes! We are working hard to get this schedule up and running but we are absolutely committed to delivering them. These types of offerings are why we are doing this.
